The Genonym product offers a client / server middleware architecture that interoperates with standard IdM platforms.
Client :
embedded or downloaded inside an end-user device (USB key, GSM, portable media player), the function of the Genonym client is to collect and hash the users' identifying information that will be used to authenticate the end-user and the service provider. Commonly used identifying information can mix software- and hardware-based data. They include, for example, a password, a computing terminal, a portable device or biometric traits and behavioural data.
Server :
The Genonym server functions are to manage the enrolment, the validation and the administration of users' identifying information used for strong authentication
Demo
Available at www.mybankdemo.com, the mock-up allows Apple MacOSX v10.4 and Microsoft Windows XP users to self-provision, use and manage a strong, unique, user identifier for web applications.
Interop
Designed to interoperate with market standard Identity Management and authentication technologies and systems, the offering can be smoothly integrated into a variety of authentication systems such as LDAP, RADIUS or TACACS. A first POC demonstrated its interoperability with Microsoft Windows CardSpace identity selector.
Validation
The algorithm that supports the technology was validated by several academic (INRIA) and industry (FT R&D) experts. Livo received the 2007 Innovation Prize of the 'Assises de la Sécurité et des Systèmes d'Information' (the Information System and Security Show). Livo also won the IE-Club/EuroCase Innovation Award in 2005. It is also a 'Laureat' of the 'Concours National 2005' and received an R&D grant from the French Ministry of Research. It is supported by Agoranov, the start-up incubator of Paris Universities. |
